I have excellent luck with near max charge IMR 4350 and 165gr. Nosler Accubonds.

To answer your question, 4064 will be fine in both rifles.

To further answer your question, any powder that works in a semiauto should work in a bolt. The semi-auto would usually be the fussier one unless it was a 100 year old bolt gun.

I have shot all the powders above and they are all good choices. However I went to RL22 a couple of years ago, and have picked up about 100 fps more velocity over the powder's listed above. No real increase in accuracy, but a bit more speed, however this powder does shoot the best SD's. This powder fills the case, which is what I believe leads to the better SD's. Tom.

With all the spiffy powders out there today folks almost always forget IMR 3031 when loading the .30-06 with 150 grain and lighter bullets. Have used IMR 3031 in my 150 grain and lighter handloads for about 45 years. Have not found any other ppowder that gives me the accuracy that it does.

Would have to agree with the 3031. My dad has used it for over 25 years and cant seem to go to anything else. I like wise will use that as well as Reloader 15. Got some really good groups with it.
