Anyone have any on game experience with the Nosler 150 grain E-Tip in 30 caliber? I was wondering if it penetrates like the Barnes X, and also wondering if it builds pressure and needs to be loaded with less powder like the Barnes X.
I don't have experience with the 150 gr., but I have worked some with the 180 gr. in my .300 Win Mag.The bottom line is I've decided to stick with Barnes. The E-Tips I tried required a substantial reduction in powder charge to avoid pressure problems and accuracy was erratic. The Barnes TSX on the other hand has been one of the most consistently accurate bullets I've ever used and I've always been able to get good velocity without pressure problems.
I can't tell you how the E-tips work on game cause I have no experience...............and likely never will.
TSX's ain't broke, so I'm reluctant to try and fix 'em.........

Exactly. Don't know what I thought I'd accomplish trying the E-Tips. It seems to me these solid copper bullets just don't work wellwithout some way of reducing the bearing surface like Barnes did with the TSX.

That is what I was afraid of. I was impressed with the .469 BC and was hoping they did not have the pressure and fouling problems the X bullets had. Thanks for the feedback.
