Default Lee Dies

What is everyones feelings on Lee pistol and rifle dies. Love ' em or leave ' em.

Man, I love that factory crimp die. Its the greatest. But don' t like the seater dies. I feel better knowing I locked the seater in place. For some reason I get more consistent seating with RCBS pistol dies or others.

I love' em. I agree with everything bigcountry said, but I would also like to add that Lee dies come with all the extras (shell holder, powder dipper, load data). Sure the dipper and the load data are not big deals but everytime I order a die set from another manufacturer, I forget to order the shellholder. Come to think of it, maybe it' s Lee' s fault that I don' t remember to order the shellholder.

i ordered the univeral shell holder set from lee just so i dont ahve to buy new ones all the time. i might need more later but at leat i got 90%covered

I have always had good service out of Lee dies and taper crimps

No problems at all out of them. I' ve got Redding, RCBS, CH, and a few others. I' d just as soon have the Lee' s as any others. If you' re talking collet dies then they' re a notch above anything offered from any other maker. The factory crimp dies are excellent as well. I wouldn' t own one of their presses however. They' re crap.
