.350 remington magnum

i have two of these rifles and have killed deer w/ the production remington load. works great but i also like to reload and was wondering if anyine had any info on any barnes loads. i know stars and stripes ammo produces a load, has anyone delt w/ any of there stuff before?

Did you try giving Barnes a call? They will give you load data if they have it.

i emailed them. i have the data for the xlc bullets but i cant find any. i didnt know if someone might have triple shock data already

H4895,IMR 4320,RL15, with the latter mostly to suprise you. 200gr Corelokts, 225gr Partitions fit its short neck and OCL well. The 200gr hornady spire point seems softer then the corelokt and thats in my 358win at 2500fps. The 225 partition at 350 rem velocities will be a great deer bullet as well with black bear, elk, etc.. thu the 250gr may be better for some situations.

yea i use the r15 in my whelens often. i load those w/ barnes also. ive always liked the performance of the barnes bullets. i have the manuals for all the other bullet makers you mentioned. thanks for the reply

Do you think that the speed of 35 Whelen justifies a Barnes bullet? I just built a 35 Whelen AI and have not chrono'd it yet. Still shooting plain 35 Whelen to get a supply of brass.

I built it off a VZ24 action and Wilson barrel with a Boyds pepper laminate stock. It is the best shooting gun I have.

I load the 200gr pointed corelokt, 225gr and 250gr partitions in the 35whelen and prefer a bullet that does lose some of its weight for the best on game performance. I have not yet tried the 225gr accubond but it should be great as well. I also have no issues with copper fowling or case capacity due to long bullets. Remember that these medium bores don't lose their intialvelocity as fast as small bore bullets do as long as start with enough bullet weight. The 225gr bullets should prove to be better than a 180gr when you want to sterch out the distance. My experance is with the 35whelen/358win/and 35rem so there are some diffrences.
