Default cleaning primer pockets

I was getting ready to prime some cases. first one I put in my lee autoloader was a fight to prime. I don't have have a primer pocket tool. any house hold tools I can use to clean the pockets up. yes I am going to get a tool later on.

I used a small nail for a long time..All you need to do is scrape
out the crud..What primers are you useing?? Some do fit
tighter than others.

A screw driver can be filed or ground down on thesides of it to just barely fit in the pocket. The larger handle is better then most of the smaller tools on the hands.

cci 200, it is the cases I am using. I had some that did not have problem at all priming.

Corey--CCI primers are a little hard setting for some
reason..I have noticed it myself..No problem,
just make sure you have'em seated good....
When I first started using Winchesters,I thought
something was wrong,they seated so easy[8D]

I got a handful of cci's left, I been thinking for changing primers. I was try to see if it is a easy fix before putting money out.

Dillon HATES CCI primers and recommends everyone use anything but CCI in their loading presses. I've used a zillion of them over the years and never had any trouble, personally...but I do clean primer pockets with the Lee tool.

Small flat screw driver blade....... ALL primers of the same size are the same size, right?? "NOPE"........
