Cast bullet question
I have been loading handgun ammo and have a bunch of cast I thought of building for plinking rather than my jacketed slugs. Now the problem,I have some cast that weight 158 grains,I have another bunch of castI was considering and they weighted 132-135!Not much info on such thing,so what do I do for reloading specs or do I load them moderate with 125 bullet specs?I have enough honest 158's to stay busy but the oddball bullets looked too good to waste.

RE: Cast bullet question
Ok a max charge for a lighter bullet and work up NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!
A max charge for the 158 maybe .I'd startat about 75% of a 158 load and see what you get .
The bullets maybe too hard or some wierd alloy (zinc)or a guy with one mold trying to get a 9mm wieght bullt out of a 357 mold ( I thought about trying it erred to safty I'll buy the lighter mold) .
I shot some 85 grain gold dots in my 357 may have been doing 2000 fps shot fine , were 355 dia for 380 acp .

RE: Cast bullet question
I may have to print this to look back on! I have enough Hornady cast to last a long time but I will set these aside till summer to tinker with. The are .357 and not 355 so I'm good there, may just load them as 38's when I get around to it.Thanks guys
