Hi Folks, Just curious if anybody has had any experience with buying Remington bullets in bulk? ie..500 or more at a time. With my boysstarting to shootnow, we are going through the slugs fast! Also, does anybody have a source for cheaper bullets than these in 30 caliber? Looks like I can buy them for about $0.14 each. We have our hunting loads figured out, just looking for something to build a cheap round with for general plinking.

I would not recommend them. I have tried the 100gr .257 core loc bullets. I weighed 20 bullets and found them to be very inconsistant on weight. They weighed anywhere from 98 to 102grs. If I weighed out 20 bullets of a certain weight, then my gun would get good groups, but it took 40-50 bullets to get 20 that were 100grs plus/minus .5grains.
I have not measured the 30cal bullets, but my father-in-law has a box of 2000 that he uses for blasting, nothing too accurate, but fun to shoot.

I switched this years from hornady to remington only reason the price on hornady are getting out of hand.
I been a hornady user for the past 40 years+ and with my trusty 30-06 Springfield I must of taken well over 100 whitetail and all drop on the spot.I like the 165 grain Hornady SP Inter-Lock Bullet
The above are the Remington bulk 165 SP using 4350 and a mag: Winchester primer and I think it was 50.0 grains of powder FPS around 2550 .I also shoot of the land so I load on the lower end of the chart.My old load for 40 plus years was IMR 3031 44.5 grains

I bought 2x500 boxes of 140gr 6.5mm REM PSPs a few years and have shot up one of the boxes so far. I use them a lot for shooting milsurp matches using my swede mausers. With iron sights, the rem bullets shoot the same as Sierra match Kings- the SMKs do shoot a little better in my scoped rifle in 6.5x55, but I'm not good enough with iron sights to take advantage of the extra 1/4" of group size with them.

I have never bothered to WEIGH any of those bulk Corelokt bullets, but have used them for years in both .308" and 7mm in various weights. The 175-grain 7mm pointed Corelokt is a particularly accurate bullet in three of my four 7mm rifles. One, a Ruger 1B in 7mm Remington Magnum, will shoot this bullet, (and two other 175-grainers) into 1" at 200 yards. Overall, these bullets have proven to bejust as good as any cup-and-draw bullet from the accuracy standpoint for me. And the Corelokt's are better than a lot of others from the standpoint ofcontrolled expansion.
Try them! They may work well for you. Even if they do not prove to be match-grade in your rifle, the price is right! That alone is a good recommendation these days!

I love them !!! I use them in my .444 and my .300Wm. They shoot terrific and do a good job holding together even with hot loads. I couldn't be happier with them. No need for premium bullets IMHO
I buy bulk bullets for the AR and have no problem!With 2 boys coming up and shooting it will save you lots and get them tuned up before you declare bankrupcty! I have a 17 year old and if we lived close together we would have a lead mine withall the shooting he would do...I would have to sell blood to finance his shooting,centerfire is getting costly!I lie Remington bulk,look at Midway bulk prices and other outfits like them.
