I recommend 4831sc or RL22 for the 7mmRemmag, and IMR4064 for the 308. Its going to be tough to find a powder to fit both and get any kinda of performance out of the 7mm.

I guess we all know that guns are individuals, and what shoots great in one may not do so well in another. You're just gonna have to try some different things. If you can get a single powder to give you the accuracy and velocity that is satisfactory to you from both guns, I guess this is what you are after. You've been given some suggestions already, but you may want to try IMR 4350. Got a chronograph? Accuracy is visible on paper. Velocity is visible by photocells.

IMR 4350 is going to be hard to beat. i shoot this in my 7mm mag, 270 and my 6.5x.284 loves the stuff i am shooting 4 to 6 inch goods at 1000 yards with it. also got some bigger groups to. my 7mm is shooting 1" groups at 300 yards with the 4350 and 154 grain bullet. on the 4831sc i have found that you need to go over the max load by a few grain to get good accuracy and distance that just my findings.

IMR 7828 is by far the best powder I have yet used in the 7 Mag. IMR 4350 is clean, but on the fast side. In addition, H4831 is good, as is RL22......

If you can find it, try some Norma MRP1. I think Grafs has it now. Norman powders seem to burn clean for me.....

I have had good accuracy combined with power using H380 with 150 and 165-grain bullets in the .308. However, it may not be clean enough to suit you!
