I use the 165gr ballistic tip in both my 30-06's one is a ruger #1 and the other is a ruger 77 I shoot the same load in both rifles with great results on both game and at the range it will print nice tight clover leafs and I have taken deer out to 438yds messured with range finder. My load is IMR 4064 49grs, CCI 200 primer, remington nickel brass 165 gr ballistic tip. this load gets about 2772fps out of the 77 and a little more out of the #1
I use Imr 4064,52.5 grs and RE 15,53.6 grs with 150 gr bullet
in my 06,but start lower and work up both are at max or over max don't remember which.Check out Steves Reloading Data Pages he has some very good info.
Thanks for the replies fellas.I have a few manuals but was just looking for some loads that might have proven accurate for you guys. This will be my first go with rifle reloading.I have loaded pistol ammo before so I won't be starting from scratch. Thanks again.
