Default 7mm rem mag loads with RL 22

Hello, anyone have any load data they wish to share that utilizes RL-22? I have some 154 gr Hornady Interbonds and RL-22 at the moment. If anyone has anything they wish to share, let me know. Thanks in advance!

60-67gr, work up slowly. Any sign of pressure back off.

Worked up some IBs this yearand settled on66gr of RL22, seated .015" outand 215GMM primers. Load shoots good in my rifle averaging .5/3shot @100.Please don't assume b/c the above load is safe in my rifle it will be in yours, like mentioned work up slowly!!!!!! (FYI,load isover the publishednew hornady book max. Lymans shows 67gr max for 154gr)

Personallyhaven't used it on game myself but my partner did last fall in his 280rem, IBdidthe job on deer and a spike elk.

Good Luck

Hello Jem. I have been loading the 7Mag for years with RL22 as it was developed specifically to use in the 7mm Rem Mag. My rifle likes the 140gr bullets with 68 grains of powder and a standard 210 primer. I have never used the 154gr Hornady, however, you can go on the alliant web page and look it up. I would suspect somewhere around 66 grains would be max. RL22 is the best powder I have found with the 7Mag. Regards, Rick.

My 7mm RM likes RL22 also, but I only shoot Accubonds so I can't offer any suggestions other than to go to Hornady's web site and get data from them. Or Alliant's site since they are the powder manufacturer.

How does your rifle like the Accubonds? What grain do you prefer?

It does pretty well. I spent some time at the range this weekend. Still getting the load down so I shot a group that was 3/4 inch, followed by a 2" group. Kinda windy that day though so I need to go back out again on a more calm day.

I shoot 160g Accubonds for both deer and elk. 64g of RL 22, OAL 3.370-3.375 for my Tikka. Fed GM215M primers inside a Federal case.

The three powders I've had best luck with in 7mag are: imr4350,imr4831,aa3100.
