I've been loading my own for a little while now, but was wondering the best loads for a 270 with 150gr Hornady SST and a 7mm-08 with a 139gr Hornady SST. I'm shooting a T/C Encore in .270 with a 22" barrel and A BrowningA-bolt micro hunter with a 20" barrel. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. I currently use WIN 760 powder in the .270; haven't loaded any thing in the 7mm-08 yet.

RE: Suggestions for .270 & 7mm-08
AS far as loading the 7-08, some of us have been having success withIMR 4350 at mid to max loadings. Some perfer Varget. I tried it with no luck. Same with H380. Each gun is an idividual, and will tell you what it likes best.
I also tried the 139 gr. Hornadys. They shot reasonably well, but when I tried the 140 Accubonds, the gun really perked up. This ought to give you a place to start if you want.....
My TC Pro Hunter 7-08 will not shoot the 139gr SSTs worth a hoot. I've been getting great groups shooting the Barnes 120 Triple Shocks, and the Nosler 140gr Ballistic Tip and Accubonds.
Been using Winchester WLR primers, Rem cases, and IMR 4350.
I have had great luck with IMR4350 at 48gr with 140gr and 139gr bullets with the 7mm-08. But have heard from a few friends they didn't have that good of luck with this load. I love it myself.
Thanks for the advice. I'll try it and see how it works out
