Default Reload - 270 WSM

Hi all those Reloaders

I need feedback on reloading relative to 270 WSM.
I have a weatherby vanguard 270wsm and want to reload as accurate as I can.
I have RCBS dies, using:
Hordany SST projectiles 140 grain
AR2217 ADI powder

I have tried loadings of 66 grain to 70 grain compressed.

I compared these to those produced by federal 140grain ballistic tips.

I have taken these to the range and found that the reloads hit the target about 1.5" lower.
Does anyone have an idea why there is such a difference???
Why would this be lower does that mean the factory produced shoots straighter???

Thanks heaps in advance.

Don't worry about where it hits the paper, worry about group size. If the groups are small then that is your load and adjust your scope to it.

Thanks for that. I'll work on that basis.
