Default 30-06 powder

I was just wounding if anybody try the IMR 4831 with a 150 BTSP or the 150SSTHornaday bullet. I now that the IMR 4350 works good but I got this powder from a friend , so I thought I giveit a try.

i use imr 4831 for my 30-06 with 150 gr nosler accubonds and this works great.

51.5 to 52gr IMR4064 works for me....fast and accurate. Regards, Rick.

Thanks, But I would like to use this for something. I was given two lb of this powder (IMR 4831) . I might able to use it in my 7mm. Thanks again for all the INFO. I can use all the help I can get.

#1 hoyt, get a reloading book and look up the bullet and powder for the caliber you want to load. better to be safe than sorry. the book will tell you the amounts of powder for the bullet weight you are using. some rifles like different powders and shoot differently. please be careful.

I did look in the Hornday book but it don't show that powder for the 30-06, for the 150 BTSP Hornaday. Is there some other book that about the same for the 150 BTSP hornday I could use. I know I can use itfor the 7mm ,162 BTSP horndayTHANKS MR. SLIM please let me know.

What powder have you all had luck with for the 125gr. nos. bal. tip. I have varget and h 4350 on hand.

I recently tried some Varget and Rem. 150 gr. Core Lokts. The results were terrible. The 5 shot group at 100 yards was 5". That was one of my worst reloading experiments as of late.
