Stick to standard LR primers unless the load calls for it.

I use them in almost all my centerfire rifles and are a must have for ball powder or hunting in temps below -10F.People will react like they need a rabies shot but many noted gun writers and reloaders do the same with no problems....................Harold

Sure. But if you have worked up to a maximum load with any particular bullet/powder combo, you should cut that load back 2-3 grains and re-work it, since magnum primers MIGHT increase pressures some if you were to use the SAME powderr charge (but that doesn't ALWAYS happen, either!!) I've used magnum primersin a 7X57mm when I ran out of standard primers, and had no problems whatsoever.

I use WLRM 's in all calibers. I find that they give a more consistant ignition with less deviation shot to shot.

I have tried this a few times with 06 and 308 and accuracy always was not so great. Usual reason is I ran out of large rifle, and figured I would see how mags worked out. Only tried it twice and decided powders like IMR4831 and faster, use regular fed 210's and anything slower I usually use 215's or CCI250's.

I had lower speeds but smaller ES with the CCI 200s in my 7mm Rem Mag, compared to the CCI 250s. Groups were about the same. Both were with the same everything, except the primer.

I've done it for years and just take the max load and reduce it by 10% and then work up very small amounts at a time till I find the sweat spot for that particular gun. Constantly inspecting the case and primer for signs of over pressure or stress.
