Default 22-250

I just picked up a H&R 22-250 any one have any good loads a grain bullets and powder for this gun Thanks Rich

whats the rifle twist rate your gun? if its 1 in 12 you are good for about any weight bullet from 40 to 70 grains. if its a 1 in 14 stick with 60 grain and under. I personally would start out with a good 50 or 55 grain bullet like a sierra blitzking or hornady V-max.

IMR 3031 really shines in the 22 250. A 55 grain spitzer or 52 grain hollowpoint is totally devistating on gophers and yotes. You can try going lighter than those, but I personally wouldn't. Either of these will totally wreck a groundhog.
Speer #13 lists their top load as 36 grains of IMR 3031. I'd start at about 34 grains, and see what it likes from there.
