Congratulations on the wins High Desert. I have a question for you. Do you find the crimp necessary? I load a 50 grain V-Max with H-335 in my Rock River. However I am not crimping. My load shoots about 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 inches at 200 yards. I am pleased with this accuracy(that is about as good as I can shoot any rifle). I have printed several groups at or under 1/2 inch at 100 yards. I do not do alot of shooting at any one time, and I never load more than 3 or 4 shells. I use mine strictly as a Ground Hog rifle. I am alsolooking for a good quality 5 round magazine that is flush or close to flush with the bottom of the magazine well.
Groung hog hunting with a HB AR is a blast. I am right back on the ground hog when I miss. I hate to admit that I miss, but the problem is that I still do it. I really like the fact of the fast second shot with the AR. Tom.

thanks!!, when loading for auto loaders I always crimp. I feel more confident about not having and issue with bullet creep during cycling deffinately dont want any issues with the bullets creeping to close to the lands. honestly I doubt the bullets will move out of the case mouth but just incase there happens to be not enough case mouth tension on the bullet I just feel its a good idea to add a crimp. However I do suggest using lees factory crimp and nothing else.
Im gonna take my AR with me this weekend for some rounds on P-dogs its a A3 upper and I have a nice Millett scope and rings for it so its just a matter of taking the rear sight off and slappin on the scope to be ready for some long range varminting. though its a mid length rifle with a 16" barrel it happens to be a 16" Heavy barrel so in a sense mine could be considered a short HBAR lol I think it will be a blast a deffinate compliment to the rest of varmint setups, A savage model 10FP in .223 and my bull barrel ruger 10/22.
