I have loaded lots of red dot in trap and dove loads for 12 gauge , medium 38 special & 357 , 9mm , LITE very LITE 308 30-'06 , 32win ,32 rem , 45 colts and acp . You can use jacketed bullets in the 38 ,357 and 9mm , but plain cast is better . NOTFOR USE WITH ANY STEEL SHOT. Ive shot som 125 308s and 180 30-'06s with cast bullets . My red dot is last centuries and quite dirty butits cheap and loads in small chargesso I get to shoot alot for a little .

Used to load it by the 1000's of rounds for my trap shells until I discovered 700X, which shoots much cleaner. Red Dot is a viable powder, however, for multiple applications.

ived used it in trap loads but then discovered green dot is much cleaner and have been using green dot in my trap loads for about 10 years now. Ive found green dot to also be good in 45 acp and 38 spcl loads.

You can use Red Dot in pistol loading and also for trap/skeet 1 oz. and 1-1/8 oz. loads in 12 gauge.

I've heard of people using 3gr and making gallery loads out of 45-70s using Red-Dot to shoot squirrels on deer stands before. Its pretty versital. I used it a lot for skeet and trap loads, gotta bunch of reloading to do this summer, have almost ten cases of empty shells...and almost no loaded shells anymore...gonna have to break the equipment back out.
