reloadersnest has one load listed for IMR 7828 and a 160, here it is.
http://www.reloadersnest.com/detail.asp?CaliberID=48&Powder=IMR+7828&Lo adID=11491
I'd shoot H-1000, re25, or retumbo.

Here are some numbers from a few newer books I have on hand for 160 & 7828.

- Nosler 5th & Hodgdons load data- imr 7828 64gr Max
- Lymans 48th shows imr 7828 67gr Max with 160

Steve's reloading pages shows 7828 68grs max with 160 class bullets (FYI, all his data uses LR CCI primers)

In my rifle 65gr of 7828 was safe and grouped MOA. I am seated .010" out, RP Brass & Fed 215 GMMs.Have not yetchrono'd the load.

Good Luck

Thanks Skeeter, I have those books too and thats quite a difference in max loads, thats why I'm checking with you guys to see who has shot them and how it has worked out. I'm going out tommorow with the loads to see what i get on the chrono, started at 63.5gr and finished at 66.5gr, i'll post the speeds i get.
Thanks
Elmer

elmer, all a manual is is a refference or starting point. the loads listed in them have to be safe for liabilility reasons. and there are so many different companies chambering the 7mm RM with so many different reamers, all different, you never know what your gonna have till you try, just load up till you get pressure signs or hit top velocity in your rifle then tweak the OAL from there.

Good to see you're starting low. When I found that perfect load for my 7mm RM I had moved up on the scale to just short of a max. load and began working back down. Though I'm loading a different powder my groupings were the best at 2890 through the chrono. They were less tight after 3000.
