Default MODERATORS

PLEASE READ.

There are a few of us here at the Reloading forum that would like to have a couple simple things done. About once a week, there seems to be the same questions asked by newcomers to this wonderful hobby. People are always asking what to get, what do they need, what is the best, etc. There are a few of us here that would like to put together a fewthreads, and have them stuck to the top, that would have this info listed. One person would be designated to post in this thread with information derived from other members. We would like to have one for General reloading/safety, one for rifle, one for shotgun, and one for pistol reloading. This would list what people started out with, what they have bought since they started, and what people feel is not necissary.

There are many of us here that feel this would be a better system, than constantly replying to threads over and over again. The info would be in one place, and would be there for people to look at when they come in, making it easier, with less confusion, and a little better understanding of what is needed, and how much one might be out money wise. Any specific questions could then be asked in the forum. These four would only be for GENERAL purposes

For the people who are willing to get these threads going, please respond below, and show your support.

For the moderators, if I see no response in about 4 days, I will slowly post this thread over the rest of the forum until we at least have acknowledgment that the reloading forum extists.

Thanks

Marcial

Don't know about getting them going, but I for one would love to see this info tacked/stickied in one place!

I have a better idea. Why don't you compile a post that has the most FAQs and have an admin sticky it? Then you can just point the newbie questions to the FAQ.

I think that's what they are trying to do.. just can't catch a Mod to get it done. Least thats what the topic is in Mossy's thread he started about this.

Ok yes that was what he was trying to say. It's an excellent idea and has been needed for quite some time. We need at least 1 FAQ here and also some others in other forums.

A "gun value" FAQ in the Guns forum would be great. Just a place where people can post for gun values and keep it contained in one thread.

This is a pretty common problem that almost every forum has to deal with.

You know Im all for it and would be willing to do the dirty work of compilling the list. I made a list of my own stuff, and was thinking about posting it as an "work in progress" list for you all to look over.

I will be compiling a list here over the next few days also, and try to get it on here.
