you can get this samekit with out the book through Cabelas for $70.00. I started reloading with this kit. It will get you started, but you will probably want to upgrade some of the things as time goes on.

I recommend a rockchucker sepreme kit (without the trimmer) and buy a redding trimmer.

How much would one of those run me?

I use pretty muchthe same equipment as pictured for reloading with the exception of a RCBS 5-10 scale, and a rockchucker press.
The Lee trimmer system is cheap and works good enough unless you are out to get the last 1/8" out of your groupsI find that some of them trim a little short, but it doesn't seem to hurt anything. Chuck the cutter up in a 1/2" drill and you make short work of your trimming job.
I recently discovered the Lee Perfect Powder Measure pictured in the kit- it looks cheaply made next to my RCBS Uniflow setup, but you won't find a more consistant and repeatable measure unless you're willing to pay upwards of $150. The RCBS collects dust, the Lee throws 4895 and 4064 perfectly.

Buy a set of Lee collet dies for the 270 and you'll be all set.

This is the kit. It doesn't have a trimmer which is fine, cause I hate the RCBS trimmer I have.

Here is the trimmer I am going to get soon. Fine trimmer.

This trimmer will do.
