Default Pushed primer's

Been reloading for my Remington750 in 35 Whelenand some of the primers are being pushed out, not all the way but noticable. The load is fairly low, anybody notice with autoladers the primers get pushed out some? Also anybodyseal there primers and does that help some?

sure the bullets aren't getting setback into the cases under recoil? that'll run your pressure up quick and push a primer... How many times have you reloaded that brass and did you ever "uniform" the pockets? might be they are just getting loose or you have a batch of small diameter primers... just a few things to think about...

i ran up some hot (what i consider to be near max from book data) Reloader 15 rounds in the 35 whelen AI last weekend... and i wasn't seeing flattened primers which surprised me... my shoulder and the headache from recoil told me different.. further testing to follow....

BTW $503 on auction arms...

New remington brass, with federal primers. I didn't think about the inertia, preasure isn't the issue about 10,000 psi below max and the round is a compressed load. If I recall the federal primers are the softest of them all, may need to move to Winchester or CCI. Also going totry sealing the primer and see if that helps. Thanks for the help.

ok just throwing this in the mix. Are you sure the primers are seated correctly in the first place? I made the mistake one time of grabbing the wrong shell holder for my hand primer, I quickly noticed that when I sat the casing down the primer wasnt seated all the way causeing it to wobble. Could this have happened and then when you shoot it falls the rest of the way out? I dunno, just trying to help.

Backed out primersare usually caused by low pressure loads and not High pressure loads. You say that these loads are "fairly low". I'm guessing that if you increase your powder charge a bit the backed out primers will stop.

years ago I had a custom 7mm STW built, while working up loads I had flattened primers, no other signs just flattened primers. since I was shooting loads over 80 grains in charge weight, I was concerned, I called the tech-line at sierra, before I even finished telling him about it he said "your shooting fed. primers aren't ya?", I said yeah, he told me if a flattened primer was the only sign I had and they were fed. primers then don't worry about it till I saw other signs, he explained that fed. primers have a soft cup and flatten at normal pressures.
Now my guess is, and this is only a guess, that the new brass are resized just a hair smaller than they should be, and the primer is backing out before the case swells to fit the chamber, before the pressure gets to its peak due to a mild load. like I said just a guess

60 grains of RL15 with a 200 grain serria round nose 44,800 cup, interisting thing is the primers are not flattened, which leads me to beleive the inertia thery.
