RE: 270 weatherby mag
I am not sure if you are asking if yuo can get Weatherby ammo at a reduced cost or is reloading cheaper, but I 'll offer some input.
Weahterby ammo is expensive that is why I don't shoot any of their calibers, although they have some really good ones. Myself if I only shot 1 caliber I think i could swing it buying a box a shell every couple of months.
Ifgiven an apportunity to start reloading today I wouldn't. I started back in the early 80's when I was convinced factory ammo was no good for accuracy. Factory ammo today is very accurate.
As far as reloading, you can spend as little or as much as you want. It will cost about $400 to get started. That is alot of factory ammo, but the cost goes down from there depending on how much you shoot. It is not hard at all to learn, just need attention to detail and develope a routine. Cost can be kept down with a good single stage press.
RCBS has the Rockchucker supreme for around $220. It comes with everything you need to start reloading.
Dies aren't too bad maybe$55. Brass 60ct $70, good bullets $20 per 50, powder, once you find a good load, $20, primer $2 per 100. With reloading you get the satifaction of using a load you put together to harvest your animal.
Hope I helped at least a little. Goodluck with your decision
