Default 30 Caliber Bullets[I've bought]

Thru the summer,i bought a number of different brands of 30 cal bullets.
The ones to least impress me are the Remingtons [150 gr,Round nose & Spire points].The darn things have a dent in the base of the bullet, the cantalures are in different areas and they have 3 or 4 different lengths[per 500 bullet boxes].I also have a batch of 165's,they are the same way!
Now i have a few hundred Winchester 150's,they look alot better than the Rems.No dents in the bases, the canalure is nice and they seem to have a slight taper on the base. The Rems are square[base] and take more force to push into the cases.
I also have Seirra and Hornady, but I was trying low priced bullets, for hunting.
And by the way,the dent is not in the center of the bullets. The group like crap!!!!!!!

Default RE: 30 Caliber Bullets[I've bought]

For deer, I have had excellent results with the 150/165 gr Sierra Pro Hunters and Game Kings. Some rifles prefer the flat base bullets over the boat tails and some don't care. For Elk, I like the 180gr Nosler Accubond....expensive but sensational. Regards, Rick.
