i hate to sound like this. But a manual is just a guide for the results that one guy got in his gun. A manual isn't fact, and absolute. Would I go over max load if no pressure signs and accuracy was gettting better? You bet ya. So I would say yes, any horndy bullet data for same wieght will do.

Your typical copper/leadbullet like bullistic tips, partions, SST,coreloks, gamekings, I don't mind following same data working up my loads, but youneed to be careful with a few, like Scirrocos, barnes, TBBC, failsafes and few others that build pressure quickly.

When you get a load worked up please post the results. I just bought some to load for my .243 also. I'm always curious as to what recipes are working the best for other loaders out there. I plan to try Rel 19 or IMR 4350, I've had good luck with those in the past with my .243.

Rock Slinger:

I would use data for a Hornady 100 gr. bullet using H 4350.STARTat MIN: 33.9 grs. MAX: 40.8 grs. Good luck.

A long time ago when I had a .243 I shot it a lot using Hornady 100 gr bullets and 40.5 gr of IMR4350. That load shot great in that old Savage.
