Looking at some bullets forloading the 35 Whelen, there is:
Sierra
Swift A-Frame
Barnes TSX
Hornady
Speer
Nosler
A-Square
Woodleigh
Going to use it for deer primarly but large blackbear maybe next year, obviously A-Square, Woodleigh, Swift A-Frame are a bit too much for the deer. Sierra will be the bullet of choice this year but next year is whatI'm begining this experement for.

Partition would cover all your needs. Sierra for the deer.
For deer they all would be more than enough, but like was said, load the Noslers andthey will cover anything and everything you would ever use that rifle for, includeing big bears and moose. The nose is designed to be soft on an NP, so they would work well on deer too...
I'm a big believer in working up one bullet/load for each of my big game rifles and use it on everything i'd hunt with that rifle. You will become a much better game shot if you do....
There is also nothing wrong with the Hornady Interlocks. They are inexpensive and reliable. And they will work fine for both deer and bear. Wish I still had my old 35 Whelen.
