Default 110 TXS 270 bullet

Has anyone tried the 110 grain TXS for deer hunting? I am speaking of the 270 bullet. I saw them at Midway today and wondered if anyone has tried them yet?

I haven't tried them James but you may want to call Barnes about them. I would think that they would probably expand pretty rapidly and do a lot of damage. They may have been designed for varmints like coyotes and such. IMO I would probably stick with 130 or 140 grainers.

The tsx bullets are one piece bullets that do expand well but hold together and penetrate extremely well, reguardless of the bullet weight.Barnes actually specifies that they can be used in lighter weights than conventional bullets. As such I certainly wouldn't worry about them not penetrating or holding together.

I may have to try a box. I would quess that they would stay together. Tghey should really reack out and whack coyotes in the 270 WSM. I think the SD is about 205 ot there abouts.
