I'm just curious, what are you planning to shoot with 150 gr. bullets in a RUM?

I had alot of trouble with 180gr scirrocos in my 300RUM. Seems half loved em half hated em. Built up pressure way too quick. I wouldn't use that 180gr accubond. I see some folks have noticed the 180accubond not mushrooming well on small deer. Made more for heavy game. The 150gr scirroco would be a good one for deer if you can get em to shoot.

Load data from Swift manuel150gr. SciroccoRL-25-- starting 90.7g(2986) Max 97.5g(3371) 97% load density for max load.Recomended powder for 150 Scirocco and 300RUMis H-4831 starting load--89.3g(3036) Max load 96g(3349) load density at max 95%.H-4831 is the powder that shoots best from my .300 Weatherby with bullets in the 150g-168g range.Good luck

Well, having used the 180 gr. Scirocco in a .300 Wby, I wouldn't want to use the 150 gr. version in something that's even more powerful. In my experience this type bullet expands too much at the velocities this cartridge is capable of. It'll still kill okay, but I prefer a bullet that retains more of its shank instead of peeling all the way down to the base. A bullet that flattens out too much can do weird things inside the animal, like taking a 90 degree turn and destroying a shoulder you had intended on eating. I switched to the Barnes Triple Shock in myrifle and got better performance on our MississippiDeltadeer. Now I've downsized, somewhat, to the .300 Win Mag, but I still plan on using the Barnes bullet.
