I loaded a few of the Cast Precision 300 grain LFNGC bullets last night and chronographed them today. I took the strating load for the 300 grain cast bullet from the Lyman Manual. The load was 17.7 GR H-110. Their Data showed 980 from a 4 inch barrel. My 4 inch Taurus Ultra Light shot them at 1108 fps. From the 7 1/2 inch Bisley Hunter the showed 1177 fps. This was a mild load in the Ruger but plenty warm in the Ultralite Titanium Taurus. I would like to throtle the load for the Taurus down to about 100 FPS. These are Gas Checked bullets and I saw no sign of leading. I will shoot them for accuracy first chance I get.
Loaded some 200 Grain Nosler HP's tonight to check out tomorrow. Got the Factory Crimp die working well.
