Nickel Plated Brass - opinions & feedback

My brother has been reloading nickel plated brass(rem) for his 22-250 and after his 2nd loading for this brass, there seems to be a very tight fit in the neck area. has anyone experienced "thick case necks" with nickel brass? Also the neck on one case actually split when the seating die seated a 50gr sierra blitz king, would this required inside case trimming or just a bad lot of brass?

I believe I've experienced cracks in the brass when it's worked heavily and the problem seems worse with nickel plated brass. I'm not at all certain that this is an issue related to the nickel process or presence.

Other than that I've seen no real issues with the nickel stuff.

I don't like reloading nickel plated brass. I see premature case neck splits in both rifle and pistol brass. Pistol brass isn't a terrible problem. I have plenty of them, so I just throw them away when I see splits in the case mouth. I can't up-size nickel plated .30-06 brass to make .338-06 without cracking the necks on the majority of the cases.

nickel brass holds up well when you carry it for along time in bad conditions, its not very good for reloading.
The nickel plating is harder than your dies or your rifle chamber, but thin enough to flex under the leverage of your press, the soft brass resizes easy, the 2 coatings of nickel ( inside and outside of your case) don't work as easy, so all this moving the brass around between the nickel, soon has the nickel flaking off, it can scratch your dies or your chamber. I don't reload it more than once.

I bought a bag of 50 Winchester Nickel Plated in 7mm Rem Mag a few years back, and I will never load it again, at least in 7mm. The necks were very tight, even after resizing necks/chamferfing/etc it would still peel a layer off my bullets.

I have been tossing around the idea to try a bag of it for my 243 and see what happens, but am still kinda leary after my initial experience.
