Almost exactly like a ballistictip or gameking. As long as you hit them broadsided with only ribs, they can be devistating.

Great deer and antelope bullet. I'm not sure about any other calibers, but the 130 grain is too soft for elk coming out of a .270 magnum. Roskoe.

I've used them ever since they came out in my 7mm Rem Mag (139gr) and shot lots of deer with them. Never had a bad experience. All the deer but 1 dropped in its tracks, the one managed to go about 75 yards somehow. I did have a about a 50/50 exit no exit wound with 'em. I actually prefer the bullet not to exit, lots of carnage inside that way.

I haven't shot any animal with them, my only opportunity I had last year I missed. I can't tell you that they have excellent ballistics. That's about all I can offer.

I shoot them out of my muzzleloader and my shotgun if you are wondering what type of firearm I use these with. For my muzzleloader I use the 250 gr. and my shotgun they only offer the 300 gr. in 12 ga. I found out of the muzzleloader the Lock-N-Loads shoot better, the standard SSTs with the same bullet and pellet charge, they don't shoot the same.

What do you guys out there shoot your SST's out of? Shotgun, muzzleloader? What size bullet?

I agree on the notion that they are essentially a Ballistic Tip copy, that is afterall what Hornady copied when they introed the SSTs several years ago. I don't like quickly expanding bullets that penetrate shallow. I like a full hole in/hole out for maximum blood loss. I never had an SST (139 SST moly Light Mags in a 280 of mine) exit. Lastyear I used some 154 Interbonds in a 7mag of mine and they ALWAYS exited and did so with fairly violent actions. The nose on the IBs must be rapidly expanding because EVERY single doe I busted with it had LARGE exit holes in them. Accuracy wise, either the SSTs or the IBs are first rate.

I don't have any experience with the SST Interlock but would think they would be right in the middle of the other two,
