I have used them. They work. But all it saves you is really a one time trimming. You have to trim real low to start, It takes about 3 firings or more to grow a case to where you have to trim again. For me after about 6 firings, I toss most cases.

Now if they made 44 mag carbide x pistol dies, we might be talkin. I do shoot my 44 mag brass like 10-15 times.

It is somewhat amazing how well the Lee Collet dies work - particularly for only $20. They are similar in design to the RCBS X dies. Although I have Redding Type S and RCBS competition dies for a number of calibers, I've used the Lee Collet dies (sizer only) for some of the most accurate loads I have produced. My .22-250 Ackley will consistently shoot 1/4" groups with loads produced with these dies.

A couple of times, I've had to put the de-capper stem in a latheandpolish a little off to get sufficient bullet seating tension; but otherwise they work great and represent on of the best values in reloading. They also work with all the Ackley Improved calibers, since the body of the sizing/seating dies has no taper and only guages on the neck.

Depends what caliber,
I use X dies on my 220 Swift, It is the only way to go for the calibers that grow quickly.
