Default Reloading scales

Sometime back, there was a post on the likes and dislikes of the various types of scales, electric vs. beam being the main topic. At that point in time, I replied that my electronic balance was doing just fine, and was happy with it. Well, guess what---- I set about to change the powder throw of my measurer using the electronic balance, and lo, and behold, every time I looked at it, the tare was changing. I'm not in a drafty place. This thing just would not hold constant. Really fussed me up. Got the old Ohaus beam out, and went to work. NO MORE PROBLEMS.
I never noticed the elec. doing this before. The temp. in my loading room was probably 10 degrees cooler than when I used it before. Got me really wondering-------
Oh, yeah---I constantly was checking calibrations, too----

Default RE: Reloading scales

I have a Dillon electronic and have some "problems" too using it. It is so sensitive I can“t even breath when using it. Irritating. So I have also gone back to my balance beams RCBS 5-10 and 10-10, and get the job done faster.

I have a PACT BBK II, which is their low end model. I haven't used it for quite a while now because it's such a piece of crapola. For weighing powder charges I now rely exclusively on my Redding No. 2 Master beam scale.
