444 Marlin loads

Wondering what powder guys are shooting behind the 265gr Hornady bullet. I have been using 45 gr of IMR 4891. Any others/comments.

I used 44.3 of IMR 4198 with good results. I also understand RL7 is a good powder for this caliber.

For the 250 gr Nosler partition I use 53 gr. Imr 4198, for the 265 Hornady I use 46.5 gr IMR 4198

I shot a nice 6 pointer this year using 52 grains of H335. The 265 gr. Hornady killed a tree on it's way to the deer. Impressive!

you dident say what gun your using .i use a encore 15in. in 444
and the load is a little hot .49gr.H4198 and 265. recoil is severe but i dont care . this gun is a bit heaverthan others and presser is not a problem. i did find that 240 sierra work very well with this same load.but even i would not use this load in any other gun. i have tryed other powers but i keep comeing back to H4198
