Bumping this to the top, just reamed a Handi .357 to .357Max and wondered if anyone has a pet load. These are legal Indiana deer cartridges.

I have two favorite loads in .357 max

185 gr. Beartooth hardcast GC FN over the top of a max load of AA1680 and lit with a CCI BR-4 primer.

200 gr. Sierra RN SP same powder same primer

I suggest any time you find .357 max brass you get it. It can be difficult to find at times.

Accurate Arms has decent loading info for the max.

One suggestion if you are loading for a single shot. When you re-size your brass only re-size the area that actually holds the bullet and not full length. You will find brass lasts much longer just check to make sure the rounds chamber.
