I know that they are going to cost roughly twice as much as the regular TSX bullet at $19 for 20 bullets.

They look very impressive, but the tsx works so well in my rifles, that I see no reason to spend twice the money on the new bullet. It also remains to be seen how accurate they will be and just how well they will perform on game.

I like theconcept and while Barnes is marketing it as a long range solution, I can't help but wonder if this bullet wouldn't help on thinner skinned animals as well. In my thinking the polymer tip should enhance the wound channel, which would be a big plus for this particular usage. I personally wasn't to happy with the performance of the TSX on deer this fall. Excellent for the larger stuff but on a rib shot deer IME they just blew on through leaving a less than desired wound channel. All thinks being equal with regards to accuracy this may be a viable option for the likes of deer as well????

I am wondering does anybody know if Barnes (or the MRX) is what Winchester is touting as their new offering the XP3? Looks pretty similar!!
