I want to purchase one. Who makes the best one and what is recomonded? Digital or balance beam and what models would be best for me? I don't measure a ton of rounds a year but like to be precise on my weights
Probably the 10-10 scale from RCBS is what I consider one of the better ones.
But if you want the best, thats a big term. I can tell you anything from atomic scales to $800 counting scales.
As far as who is accurate, what I did is buy a scale calibration kit with calibration wieghts. My 505 RCBS was dead on down to .1gr. And a 505 scale don't cost much either.
My vote goes for the RCBS 505 as it's easier to ajust than the 10-10 and is just as accurate as any of the others. I've had one since before RCBS bought there scale line from Ohaus and it's still as accurate as the day i bought it.

I'm not as good as I'm gonna get - but I'm better than I used to be. "Life without God is like an unsharpened pencil - it has no point."
I used a Bonanza beam scale for a few years and then went to a PACT BBK 2 electronic scale and my groups shrunk. It is small and easy to use and works real well.
i just got the RCBS Charge master 1500 an i tell you this is the way go..
you have to check one out before you buy anything else..

I had a PACt for a number of years but I beleive my new Range Master scale is easier to use and more accurate. If you have money go with the charge master as then you can upgrade to the digital powder thrower
