Default some 300 Wby groups...pic

I am trying to work up a good deer (canadian) load for my back up gun. All these were shot with Fed brass, Fed 215 primers and R-22 powder. I didnt chrono these yet as they are new loads for this gun. Other than a little POI shifting I think I am off to a good start.

The top target was shot with 200 grain FB Speer Spitzers.

The middle target was shot with Nosler 180 grain Partitions.

The bottom target was shot with Nosler 180 grain Accubonds.

Though these are only 3 shot groups @ 100 yds,it does give me the idea that they pretty much group the same size.

I think that gun may need to be elevated from"back up" status to first choice "go to" status

Those groups are all over the place! It is going to take alot of work to get that shooting right. I just happen to need a backup to my backup and will offer $125.00 to take that scattergun off your hands.

A 300wby is certainlymore cartridge than necessaryfor our canadian deer, but if you shoot it that well,I would load up the accubonds and use it as your primary gun.

Ok now tell us, what .308 did you REALLY shoot those with? We ALL know that a .300Wby Mag is NOT capable of that kind of accuracy, it is simply impossible. There are NO magnums that can shoot that well and do you realize that your arm will be dislocated and that your children will have to spoonfeed you for the rest of your life after you shoot that rifle once at ANYTHING smaller than the Millenium Falcon???

I'm obviously kiddin, just "para-phrasin" some of those on this site. I can honestly say I dare dream my 300Wby will shoot that good! Good luck in Can and remember...

I have NEVER seen any animal to dead!!!

Great groups! There's nothing wrong with using a .300 Wby for deer, I do it all the time.

Is the gun a Wby? How much powder and what is the OAL on the rounds? I've had a hell of a time loading for my Wby - this is the best I've seen and I'd happily duplicate it if I knew the details.

Double A, after extensive forensic research and evaluation including carbon 14 dating, and a positive geneticmatch completedin my subterranian layer, I along with my team have concluded that target one and target three are the same group. This could constitute fraud upon the shooting public as well as charges including misleading the misled. What to you plead?
