Saint John 1. 6-9

6There came a man who was sent from God; his name was John. 7He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all men might believe. 8He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light. 9The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world.

John was sent by God, to TELL the people to prepare their hearts for the Lord. Notice again and again that John reminds us that Jesus is the light..
I do not believe this is John the disciple,because later on Jesus calls John and James,sons of Zebedee. 1 John 1.5 says"God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.If we say that we have fellowship with Him and walk in darkness ,we lie and do not the truth. BUT if we walk in the light as He is in the light we have fellowship one with another AND THE BLOOD of JESUS CHRIST HIS SON CLEANSETH US FROM ALLLLLLL SIN.AMEN

John the Baptist is one I would love to meet one day, of course after I meet Christ, but more then likely they are very close any how, so if you meet one, the other will be right there.

Something else. After over 1000 post I have learned to only respond to the positive replys.I leave the others alone.If they get too crazy I know you or Chad will get delete them anyhow.

What does walking in the light mean to you guys?

Leaf to put it in the simplest way, walking in the light is walking hand in hand with Christ. Now if one looks at it that way as they go through thier lifes, they will stay on the narrow path and be a beacon to the world.

Later in 1 John the writer specifically says Walking in the light is loving your brother.

1 John 2..10 He that loveth his brother abideth in the light,and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.But he that hateth his brother is in darkness,and walketh in darkness.
