Default Baptized on Mother's day

Hello. My name is Paul. I'm 27 years old from Ohio. I was baptized on Mother's Day(yesterday). I know that now I have to keep my guard up from evil around me because it's probally going to really come at me even more. I don't want it to but just kind of figured that if you try to do the right stuff that there is always going to be evil that trys to lure you away from what is right. Anyone have any advice on ways I can do to protect myself? I consider myself blessed that I never got into drinking or even doing drugs. My problem has always been temptation with the women. I just wanted to see how I can deal with this temptation? Thank you for any replies.

Man that is great john, score another one for Christ!!!!

John the best advise I can give you to avoid temptation is to live in prayer, stay tuned to the spirit. Your mind is the hardest thing to not sin with, you will, I can tell you that, we all do no matter how long one walks with Christ, they still will sin, they will repent for their sin and continue in their walk with Christ. Do not let the temptor lead you astray, remember your most powerful weapon you have in your fight with Satan is Jesus Christ! He can not stand to him, do not hesitate to use his name both in conversation, in thoughts and of course in prayer.

By the way I just reread your post, I will try to remember to call you Brother paul rather then John! interesting thing I noticed is waht ever I call you it is an Apostles name! Just remember Brother Paul the road is narrow and we all know that narrow roads are not always that easy to walk on, but the reward at the end of the narrow way is well worth it.

That is awesome news brother,
One more little bit of admonition. Read your Bible daily. Begin with the New Testament.Pray for guidance from Jesus. The word will be your sword and faith in over coming and comforming to the image of Christ. You are in my daily prayers. Lust is a stong hold;Through Chrisrt we can be victors.

Praise the Lord! It's wonderful to hear of your baptism, Paul! Thanks for sharing! Like Taz said, live in prayer! Guard you heart, and your eyes! If you dwell (meditate on the scriptures and study them) in righteousness it will be harder to fall to the temptations of satan. Welcome to the family of God! He loves you more than words can say!
God bless you!
Trae

Brother Paul I had almost put away my guns until my 13 year old twins when they were about 10 decided they wanted to start hunting. Well this will be thier first season with a gun in thier hands afield. They have done it all with me, scouted, set blinds, sat on stand with me, drug deer, helped gut deer, skinned deer, hung deer and helped butcher also.

Oh yea BTW did I mention that they are girls!
