Hi folks,
What year, state and setting were you saved in?

Chuck 1976
Hinesville, Georgia
Running by myself down a highway ,barefoot on a Sunday afternoon while in the military. As evening approached I ran into an unlocked church and repented / gave my heart to Jesus. A pastor walked up on me and gave me lots of comforting words and drove me to the barricks.The reason I was running was because I refused to get into a car with drunken drivers.

I was 13 years old when I understood that I was in sin by the decisions I had made. I was saved/baptized on October 12, 1985. In Jacksonville, Florida. My Dad baptized me at the church building on a Sunday morning, after a really good sermon on "God's Grace". Later in life I did some real thinking and studying about the way of salvation. Iam closer to my Lord now than ever before. Great topic Chuck!

Well I truly found Christ in 1975 although I knew of him. it was then when I was baptised, absolutely unbelievable is all I can say, indescribable. My ups and downs in my walk with Christ were many over the years, then God that when one comes back there is forgivness.

I was actually baptized in 74 ,but the reality and light bulb did not come on until 1976. Then I ealized He wasn't on another planet far away, He was in my heart.

PS AS far as the growing pains Taz. We all have them.I haven't told those parts .They are nothing that brings glory to Christ. I count them as dung.

My wife and I were both baptized into Christ for the remission of our sin I believe on Feb 1, 1988, I was well in my 30's and had not missed hardly any church services for 2 years before becoming a christian, I was kind of stubborn or stupid I guess, or both for waiting so long. I give thanks to God in being able to be called a christian.

In 1967 when I met my Crirstian wife here in Tampa, Fl. In 1968
we were married. I have been a faithful christian ever since.
