Chuck7--there's no disagreement here. I agree fully with what you said in your reply -- I may have overstated it, but my feeling about it is the same as Snooky's.

Well . . .lol . . .I'm not trying to be a butt here. I agree that we of course should not put anything ahead of our Lord.
But I still contend that this is not what 1John 2:15 is saying. Because scripture goes on to say in the very next verse:
1Jo 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
Saying that these things are not of God, but of the world.

In my opinion, Gods creation is definatley of God. These creatures have been put here for us for meat, so thats of God. No sin in hunting in itself. Now hunting instead of gathering with the saints is another thing. Being self indulgent and not caring for those less fortunate than ourselves is another thing. These aren't sins caused by hunting, but rather by a condition of the heart.
Uhh . . .but if your determined to give it all up . . .uh . . .can I have your guns an stuff?

You are no butt brother. I find myself asking questions or commenting on somethings alot of times . I'm sure if we were face to face over a cup of coffee we would understand each other.

I really enjoy hunting alot. It is one of the last sane things left on planet earth .
