A thought

This is not about Chistianity per se, but the thought is a good one for Christians to embrace....especially a Christian hunter.

One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on
inside people. He said, "My son, the battle is between 2 "wolves" inside us
all.

One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance,
self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority,
and ego.

The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility,
kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith."

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather:
"Which wolf wins?"

The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."

I like that clint. I was just talking about that to my wife. I have been doing some fasting lately. When I do that it's as God disables the wicked cable TV of my mind. I began eatting like my old self today since it's Friday night. Someone turned my flesh back on too. I said to my wife. What is going on here. She reminded me that is the cross we are to crucify daily.Our fleshly selves. Like you said. We need to feed our spirit daily and starve the desires of the flesh. This is truly a daily battle. The worst of these is the guy in the middle. The one that is religious. He's a fleshly man with Bible verses. He does more damage than the fleshly man.He is selfish and a horrible witness. A very miserable man with no peace, just a dead letter. The truly spiritual man acts like Jesus. He comes in peace and is fruitful in all his ways.
