I believe that good works are the result of salvation, not the requirement. If good works are not present, then salvation may not be there either.
I think we are trying to say the same thing here. Good Works WILL be done by those who saved. If salvation is present so will Good Works be present. But the question still remains, What if a person claims to be saved but never ever does anything to show that he is, but completly does the excat oppiste, what is the state of his salvation. Can a person remain in a saved condition with out his life showing that he is in that conditon.

What exactly is Good Works and how is it qauntified? How does one man see that another man is doing "enough" good works?....

I realize that Taz, but we were speaking of seeing Good Works in a man's life.

Double creek many good works can be done by a good man that we may never know about, Dale Earnhardt comes to mind, it was not until after his death that numerous stories started coming out about Earnhardt doing midnight rides and dropping off hard cold cash to help families that were good people that through no fault of their were down and out. Until Dales death even these families had no idea where the cash was coming from, after Dale passed some of his friends who had made some of these rides with him told about them, Dale did not want or need the world to know how generous he was to the needy.

God's Word tells us that when we are in Christ, we are a new creation (2Corinthians 5:17). Old works are to be replaced by new [good] works. I'm certainly not anyone's judge, but if a supposed new "believer" shows absolutely no change to their life, then some red flags are gonna be raised to say the least. This still applies to even those who are "pretty good" people before becoming believers IMO.
