I found this while going thru some stuff in my folders . .thought someone may like it.
Bretheren, the spiritual 'gas guage' in this world today is running low. The 'low fuel' light is blinking, and the chime is sounding, in the 'dashboard' of our hearts. We need spiritual revival within the churches today! We need spiritual revival within the heart of the believers!
I'm guilty myself, bretheren, of getting too wrapped up in the things of this world. It's hard to swing a job, family time, and everything else we have in our lives. We burden ourselves down with all the things that this world offers, and many times, spirit filled living gets the 'shaft'! We seem to grab ourselves by the throat, and squeeze the 'spiritual breath' out!
The time is at hand, bretheren! We need to be watching, for He is soon! Scripture is being fulfilled! , and more are at hand every day! The world is coming near that glorious day, and the spiritual church is running on 'fumes'!
There are too many churches, teachers, and leaders that are teaching in the flesh!!! The flesh teaches the things of this world! We need a spiritual revival, bretheren! We need to be praying in the spirit! We need to be preaching in the power and demonstration of the Holy Ghost!!! We need to be teaching spiritual things, and teaching them in the spirit and truth!!!
In Gods Holy word; 2 Timothy, chapter 2 and starting in verse 22, which
reads (KJV): 22... "Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
23... But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.
24... And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle to all men, apt to teach, patient,
25... In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; If God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
26... And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will."
These 'foolish and unlearned questions' are the teaching of the flesh! Even in that time, there were men teaching in the flesh. It's not a new thing, folks!!! Verses 25 and 26 are a call to Timothy for spiritual revival. Professed Christians were already being used by satan, to do his will! Today is the same!!! We need to be recovered out of satan's snare by the renewing of God's Holy Spirit in our lives!!!
In chapter 3, verse 1, we are warned by God's word: 3:1... " This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come."
These times are at hand, today!!! Let's open our eyes and take a look around!!! We can see the Word of God being fulfilled, right in our communities!!!
Let's look at verses 2-4. 2... " For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3... Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4... Traitors, heady, high minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
Did Paul not describe our society today, over 1900 years ago? This world today is bent on gain!!! We brag about what we can get! We are proud of the things we have; but forget to give honor and glory to the one who has blessed us with this bounty!!!
The 'laws' of this nation have made it a crime to chasten our children! God is being purged from this nation, and being replaced with unholy things!!! Homosexuality is being promoted by television and movies! Teen and pre-marital sex is being promoted by our schools! Self controll, in our society, is looked upon as a 'burden'! Anything goes today, even in many churches!!! What God's word says is true; traitors, and lovers of pleasures instead of God!!!
Verse 5 reads: "Having a form of Godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away." In this verse, Paul nails it right on the button! So many professed Christians are denying the power of the Holy Ghost!!! The 'church machine' is here, but it's lacking the fuel!!! Bretheren, we need to go back to the 'gas station' and get the 'tank' of our hearts filled up!!! Our altars are collecting dust!!! Lost souls are leaving this world every day and burning in HELL, because the word is not being preached!!! Doctrines of man are being taught as truth, and the Holy Ghost is being pushed to the side!!!
We need to wake up, people!!! We need to return to our first love!!! We need some of that old Holy Ghost, kicking the devil's teeth out, cross-preaching, soul saving, old time reviving!!!!!!!!!!!
We need to "stir up the spirit that is within us," bretheren!!! If you haven't got His spirit in you, you need to dust off the old altar, humble yourself at His feet, and get some!!!!! He's faithful and just to forgive you of your sins!!! Let Him anoint you with the Holy Ghost power from on high!!!!! Ask Him, and He'll fill that old tank right on up with Holy Ghost, unlimited octane, cleaned from burning in HELL, revival fuel!!!!!!!!!
Jesus is coming soon!!!!! Today is the day of salvation!!! He loves you today!!!!! It's up to you!!!!! Do you want to continue on in sin, empty of His spirit????? Do you want to burn in HELL for all eternity????? He wants to redeem someone today!!!!! He wants to fill someone up today!!!!! He hung and died on that cross, nearly 2000 years ago, because He knew you!! He shed His blood to redeem you and fill you up today!!!!! He knows your heart today!! He wants to live in you!!!!!
There are so many that are turning from Him; they are following satan right down the path to HELL!!!!! If you are not where you need to be in your spiritual life, He knows!!!!! He wants to heal you of it today!!!!! Go to that old altar!!!!! Humble yourself, and Let him fill you up!!!!! If you don't know Jesus as your savior, He's waiting for you!!!!! Repent, and be released from satans snare!!!!!
Verse 6... "For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7... Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth."
As we read here, Paul is telling Timothy to turn from these false teachers! These are men on a quest for some type of worldly knowledge! They teach God's word in the flesh! Twisting and turning scripture to somehow fit or justify their fleshly desires!!! They're out there today, bretheren!!! Satan is seeking those who are weak in their spiritual life, and preying upon the lost souls!!!!! If you don't have the spirit within you, you'll be taken right straight to Hell with them!!!!!
Verse 8... " Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith."
They come, preaching there is no Hell or God!!!! They come, preaching these 'alternative' lifestyles!!!!! They are preaching extra-marital sex as recreation, (as long as it's safe)!!! These things are an abomination in the eyes of God!!!!! And they're being taught by "men of corrupt minds"!!!!! According to the faith, they are "reprobate"!!!!!! They are morally depraved, as Websters Dictionary defines it!!!!! These things, and the ones teaching them, are condemned as evil in the eyes of God!!!!!
Verse 9... "But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was."
Here, the Lord gives us another promise, bretheren! "Their folly will be made known!!!!! How will it be made known? By the Holy Spirit of God!!!!! Moses was withstood, but the Holy Power of God came down and proved to them who really had the power!!!!! We need that same Holy Power, bretheren, living within us!!!!! So every day, He can teach us and show us the ways of truth and righteousness!!!!!
Verse 12... "Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
13... But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, decieving, and being decieved."
They are growing worse every day, bretheren!!! Without the spirit, we are more open for satans deception!!!!! Satan is growing in power every day!!!!! He's decieving our children, friends, and loved ones!!! If we don't stay in the spirit, we will fall for his deception!!!!! And being then decieved, we'll pass it on!!!!! We then will be decievers ourselves, and will answer for it !!!!!
Verse 16..." All scriptur is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness;'
If it is given by the Holy Spirit, bretheren, it is to be studied and taught in the spirit!!!!! John 4:24 says "God is a spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in the spirit and in truth."!!!!!
2 Timothy chapter 4, verse 2... "Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long-suffering and doctrine.
3... For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4... And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
5... But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry."
We must be ready to teach God's word, anytime and any place!!!!! Therefore, we need to be in the spirit, continually!!!!! The time is at hand, bretheren!!! The world today does not want to hear the truth!!!!! Churches are peying men to stand in the pulpit and tell them what they want to hear!!!!! The world wants to hear that what how they are living is right!!! Churches want to be patted on the shoulder, in the flesh; instead, we need to be kicked in the butt with the truth!!!!!!
I'd rather be kicked in the butt with conviction, when I'm wrong, because I know we serve a forgiving God!!!!!!!! If we're not taught the truth, taught repentance: if we're not taught in the power of the Holy Ghost, in submission to the Lord, then HELL will be our home!!!!!!!!!
We need to get our 'batteries' charged up with the Holy Ghost, and shock this old world with the truth!!!!! Come to Jesus and get that spirit-filled holiness that only He can give!!!!! Christians, let's stirr up the Holy Ghost Power we have been given, and preach the truth!!!!!! Don't ever be ashamed of His spirit!!!!!
Hebrews, chapter 12 in verse 14 saya..." Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord."
And what is holiness??? Acts chapter 5 in verses 41 and 42 says..." And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for His name."
And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ."
Holiness is teaching of Jesus in the spirit and truth, bretheren!!!!! No matter what we may suffer, if the spirit is in us, we will count it as glory to God!!!!!!
Bretheren, be spirit- filled in your walk!!! There's never a wrong time to glorify God in the spirit!!!!! This is our gift, salvation, bought and paid for by his blood, and the Holy Ghost he gives us!!!!! Come back to the true ways of faith!!!!! Don't strive with men over fleshly things or beliefs!!!!!
Lost souls, come, lay your burdens at the feet of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!!!!! Repent of your sins and pledge yourself to Him!!!!! HELL is real, people!!!!! It is gaining more souls every day!!!!! Don't let satan cheat you of your reward!!!!! Don't serve him one more day!!!!!
Today is the day of salvation!!!!! Come to Jesus, and recieve the fullness He has for you!!!!!
