Blessings from Revelations

My wife and I are starting the new year with reading the book of Revelation..

We have only read the first 2 chapters but I've gleaned quite abit from it so far..Here are a few of the nuggets..

A.Satan is the head of some cities and churches..Rev.2:13

B. Revelation chapters 1-3 is a plea to repentance..Romans says that it's the "Kindness of God that leads us to repentance."

C. Most of the warnings of God are to come out from amongst them and be ye separate...don't hang with idol worshippers and fornicators.

D. you can have your name "Blotted out of the lamb's Book of Life."Rev,3:5

E. Only those who repent and overcome will eat of the Tree of Life which is in Paradise.

Folks...in summary..repent ..flee.. love not the world neither the things of the world.The blessing..God gives us time to repent.

Blessings back at ya Chuck.. It too me lots of years to get interested in Revelations but it is Amazing.. That is where all roads lead to.

TYes sir...all roads do lead there and the writer of Rev. tells us that those who "Read" that revelatoin will be blessed. It's a sobering book..but I have to admit I had one of the most blessed days of my life today..and I'm at work.Imagine that..LOL

I have a saint for a boss. I'm a blessed man indeed.

Flee not from the reward of the wicked, but to the reward of the righteous. Flee unto Jesus, let him clothe you and arm you with his mighty weapons that you may pull down the strong holds of the enemy.

I have found that the more I know about the Law and its types and shadows, the easier it is to under stand Daniel, Ezekiel, Isaiah, and revelation. It isn't the revelations of Jesus Christ, it is THE revelation of him.

I asked my children today how can consequences be postive..one little lad answered the question with wisdom..He said consequences warn us to keep us out of bigger trouble.
