That is great--it's especially heartwarming when it's a kid.
Our archery club (Southern Traditional Archery Association) puts on a charity even for the Catch-a-Dream Foundation (
www.catchadream.org) every year. Every year we try to have a child there who has, at least for the time being, beaten the odds. This past year a beautiful little girl...7 or 8 years old...was battling a brain tumor. Her family looked like they were straight from a story book or television show--very attractive parents, older siblings that looked like they could be young models...everything seemed perfect, except their little girl was terminally ill. She had survived a year or so longer than expected, and acted like she didn't have a care in the world--she was full of spunk! I didn't ask what her prospects were--I can't hardly handle the stories the director tells about all the kids that weren't so lucky...
Enjoy him all you can Bob, and it's great to hear a story where the credit goes to the right place.
