I agreed that it was normal for Christians to sin..or something similiar.
there is a world of difference between the Slave of Christ and the SLave of Sin..
The way to overcome sin is to be dead to sin..take up your cross daily..walk in the Spirit
Chuck; This is exciting! Great to see someone moving forward to conquer that mountian that God has promised.
You are so correct, It isn't normal for body of Christ to be inslaved and overcome by the power of the wicked one. How can one be the light of the world and shew forth the praises of him that has redeemed us unto himself by his own blood, IF he looks, acts, and is no different from the unsaved?
However most fail to realize that walking in the Spirit isn't something that man can do on his own abilities. Our strength cometh from the Lord! Christ who liveth in us, he is the source of strength, and power that overcomes! It isn't in man that walketh to direct his steps. The steps of a good man are ordered of the Lord.
It all centers around Calvary and what was done there. The death, burial, and ressurection of Jesus Christ. When He cried out, "It is finished"! Most do not know what was finished because the don't study the schoolmaster and all the lessons that God had the Jews teach us day after day, month after month, year after year. Lessons to bring us unto Christ, the perfect sacrifice of which all those of old were types and shadows, but the fulness of the body is Christ. The more we understand about the old, the greater the accomplishments of Jesus upon the cross becomes to the believer.
Brethern, we are children of God, children of the King. Our Heavenly Father controls all the wealth of this world, and all the heavenly blessing, the exceeding great and precious promises for those who will be gathered under the shadow of his wings. He giveth us all things pertaining to life and Godliness.
IMO A key here is in the question I have been asking of late, "When does God impute sin"? And when is it "accounted unto us for righteousness"?
We judge by mens judgement and knowledge, which is very limited. Gods judgement is perfect at all times, in every way. God knows all and sees all.
Finally my brethern, be strong in The Lord, and in the power of his might.
