Default Like to recant something I've said..about Christians sinning.

I beleive in some former threads that I have made that I agreed that it was normal for Christians to sin..or something similiar.

I humbly want to recant ..the Lord has shown me the error of my ways..there is a world of difference between the Slave of Christ and the SLave of Sin..

The way to overcome sin is to be dead to sin..take up your cross daily..walk in the Spirit..The slaves of sin find themselves sinning all the time...in a visous circle..there is no deleiverance..Whom the Son sets free is free indeed.

I will not compromise my stance on this...

you will hear the slave of sin come back with
..judge not lest ye be judged
..no ones perfect
..your trusting in good works
..you are trusting in your own righteousness
..do you sin
etc. etc. etc.

The proof my friends are in the pudding..the dead man has peace, joy, victory and steadfast confidence..

The slave of sin is always making excuses for his sin..His mind is on earthly things..and unless he repents "The wrath of God abides on him."

Tough message I know..but just want to make my stance clear.

Chuck; This is exciting! Great to see someone moving forward to conquer that mountian that God has promised.
You are so correct, It isn't normal for body of Christ to be inslaved and overcome by the power of the wicked one. How can one be the light of the world and shew forth the praises of him that has redeemed us unto himself by his own blood, IF he looks, acts, and is no different from the unsaved?
However most fail to realize that walking in the Spirit isn't something that man can do on his own abilities. Our strength cometh from the Lord! Christ who liveth in us, he is the source of strength, and power that overcomes! It isn't in man that walketh to direct his steps. The steps of a good man are ordered of the Lord.
It all centers around Calvary and what was done there. The death, burial, and ressurection of Jesus Christ. When He cried out, "It is finished"! Most do not know what was finished because the don't study the schoolmaster and all the lessons that God had the Jews teach us day after day, month after month, year after year. Lessons to bring us unto Christ, the perfect sacrifice of which all those of old were types and shadows, but the fulness of the body is Christ. The more we understand about the old, the greater the accomplishments of Jesus upon the cross becomes to the believer.
Brethern, we are children of God, children of the King. Our Heavenly Father controls all the wealth of this world, and all the heavenly blessing, the exceeding great and precious promises for those who will be gathered under the shadow of his wings. He giveth us all things pertaining to life and Godliness.
IMO A key here is in the question I have been asking of late, "When does God impute sin"? And when is it "accounted unto us for righteousness"?
We judge by mens judgement and knowledge, which is very limited. Gods judgement is perfect at all times, in every way. God knows all and sees all.
Finally my brethern, be strong in The Lord, and in the power of his might.

Snooky..I like your verse you quoted from Ephesians chapter 6. The Lord has been putting that verse on my heart almost daily for the last 2 months..and then finally ..the verse took fruitian in my heart. To be strong IN THE LORD." We are strong my friends IN HIM.

to all the other unlookers.

please accept the message of this thread written in humility and not from a holier than thou attitude. God has been doing some serious work in my heart and the topic at hand is very important..I did not want to be misunderstood in this area and cause one to go astray. Sin is very important and there will be a ton {According to Matthew 7} who sincerely thought they were saved..only to find out they were not. The reason..Matthew 7 tells us.."Ye workers of iniquity" ...slaves of sin

It all boils down to one thing according to Romans 6 ..Whom do we serve? one either is serving ..Sin or Jesus ...
Jesus did not die for us to serve sin...but rather that we through faith in him would overcome sin. The Word says wide is the way that leads to destruction and many go in to it. The way to life is narrow and few there be that find it.

I love you folks...and speak this by His grace. For through him I am what I am. My strenghth cometh from the Lord who made the heavens and the earth.I trust ALL of you are growing up IN HIM as well.

Sincerely,
Chuck7
