Default Are Miracles For Today?

Do you believe in miracles and if so share them with us.

I was telling my wife this morning that when my other wife Nancy (she’s gone on to be with the lord) worked as a dispatcher she had to call one of her drivers a lady, and tell here that her six year old son Teddy had been hit by a truck. The boy was riding his bicycle in the street and was hit by a pick up going 45 miles an hour. It was bad the doctors said, he was never going to walk again, and had other internal damage to his organs, and was in ICU, this is on a Tuesday.
Like the crazy Christians we were, I gathered all the members of my family and we went to God in prayer. My wife’s bosses wife and the mother of the child went to pray at the local Catholic Church, when they go there the doors were locked and they started to leave frustrated when they spotted a gardener they asked if he could let them in and he did. After saying their prayers they proceeded to walk out of the Church and were greeted by the priest and he asked them how they got inside, the ladies to him about the gardener, he looked at them perplexed and said “we don’t have a gardener”.

To make a long story short two days later on Thursday my son Joshua and Teddy (both about ten) were wrestling on their living room floor that was 18 years ago. The doctors told Teddy’s mom, they have never seen anything like that before! One doctor told them it had to be a miracle, the boy just had too many injuries when he when in the hospital and there was nothing wrong with him other than some bruising.

I’m sure someone might just think that the doctors misdiagnosed the injuries, but what about the gardner?

I see two groups of people today, One believes as I do in miracles, and see them quite often. Then there is the group who doesn't believe in miracles and never see one. A miracle being an event or happening that is beyond the natural abilities of men. If a human is involved in the performing or aiding someway, the result isn't according to the efforts of the instrament used rather its the one who is using the instrament that does the work. God always has said, "if you do this, then will I do that". "if you don't do this, then I am not going to do that".
To give the power of God unto man to use as he determins is equal to placing a straight razor in the hands of a toddler. God is always in charge.

Your'e right Snooky the only miracle some will ever see is the miracle of life after death, and some are not going to be very happy with the results.

That is an awesome story Rev. I enjoy sharing miracles like this with others who are skeptical.

My father was a recent recipient of a miracle. Last summer, he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer - stage 3. Of course, most people realize that's almost always a death sentence. The doctor promised to "keep him comfortable," but didn't offer much hope. The procedures you have to go through to have a chance at surviving are so devastating to your quality of life that Dad wasn't willing to endure them and chose to just go home and see what God wanted to do. The prayer chain was activated in a large way and - to make a very long story short - Dad had no treatment whatsoever and the tumors and cancer cells that had metasticized (sp?) have completely disappeared! The doctor is dumbfounded because he was there an knows what he saw -- but it's just gone! Dad is experiencing some pain still, but he is cancer free!

Great testimonies guys..

I've witnessed God's miracuous powers quite a few times. The following is one of many miracles that happened to me. The day I was baptized in the Holy Ghost..

It was an evening in the fall of 1976. I had recently accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior and had repented of my sins. I had borrowed an army hymnal from a local chapel and was playing a hymn on my guitar..Many of the other soldiers were either gambling or getting drunk. It was in the evening in the soldiers were off duty. My barricks were the long concrete type that held about 40 men...

While the soldiers were partying ..I choose to play a hymn. "Have you been washed in the blood of the lamb?" As I was playing it my entire insides began to feel uneasy. I put my guitar down and told my friend Edgar about it..he shrugges it of..I went back and continued to play..As I played 5 black guys stood from me about 15 feet away ; pointing and shouting ,"Look at that G ...D......fool. over and over again. The uneasy feeling really stirred within me..Then, that little voice that I so often hear said within me " Keep playing for me son" so I did..my guitar was an acoustic imitation Martin..an early modeled Sigma..Then I happened to look up at the 5 blacks...and between me and them I saw a bright light..my eyes went back to the hymnal and then that little voice said. "That light doesn't belong there!" I quickly looked again...an the power of God hit me like 1000 volts of electricity..I knew I was going to crash bow my knees in reverence to the Lord so I quickly threw my guitar on the bed to keep from smashing it..every hair went straight up and the 5 blacks went backwards..my hands flew up and I was speechless on how to worship the Lord..I opened my mouth and the most beautiful praise in tongues came out..I'd never spoken in tongues before in my life..it lasted for a few minutes..Meanwhile the leader of the blacks said " Don't ever make fun of this man again..I saw this happen before in a church." and they walked away.

After this ..I began to have much more overcoming power in my life.

Here is me right after it happened and at the exact place it happened..a barricks in Fort Stewart GA

One more..I'm sure many would not see this as a miracle..but I do { -;

Last hunting season I was very discouraged..I hunt in a very hard place..I may see one buck per year if blessed...My Christian principal said .".Hey ..what ever is supposed to happen will happen.' I like that..it takes the pressure off of me.

I felt "Led " to sit all day in my stand and read the entire book of Matthew..Being that I 've been to Israel before the Word comes alive..and then i got to the verse about beleiving before you see it..and the Lord said what the principal told me wasn't true and it wasn't faith...He said, "YOu must begin thanking God for your deer in advance." As I continued to read...my faith was realy increasing..Id often scan the edge of the woods for a sign of a deer..any deer LOLo there was none..I began to doubt..but would then get rebuked for my unbeleif. ..I was in a clump of pines in the middle of a field watching a 90 degree angle of a low place in the woods..
but all day ...out of obedience I was thanking God for my buck that I would shoot..

About 5:15 PM it was getting dark..I thought about coming down and doubting that inward voice..I had just finished all 28 chapters..THEN!! about 100 yds away..my eye caught the glimpse of an antler..FREEZE!! my inside said..but the buck's eye had caught my eye.INside I hear LOUDLY "FREEZE SON !!!!DO NOT MOVE!!!"I watched him for about 60 seconds then...

The buck disappeared..} -; ....I still hear the same, " FREEZE DON'T MOVE" !!!!" my thumb released the safety of my remington 700 270....it was nearly too dark to shoot{ 15 minutes later} lo and behold ,,the buck is now 50 yds in front of me feeding and standing broadside..with head down..my inside rejoiced with thank yous to Jesus...I aimed and fired..
The deer was dead upon impact of the Winchester Silver Tipped Round.

I was shaken to the core and went out to my beautiful 6 point buck..I fastened the skull to the end of my way wall..I'm always encouraged when I see it..To me it reminded me of God's faithfulness to His Word and the work of patience...The lady at the checkstation said ."You were very fortunate..there were 100 hunters out today and only 4 of you scored"..

Thanks be to God..

I'm sure my diffinition of a miracle does not go along with Websters..but for me ..I count any act of God a miracle...no matter how coincidental , small or big.."my help cometh from the Lord."

Thanks for sharing guys, Dave AWESOME testimony. The doctors are usually bewildered, but WE know where the healing comes from. Glory!

Chuck, I had the voltage experience as well in 1981 when God’s presence came into my room and VERBALY spoke to me, I felt that electric power throughout my whole body too. In fact I thought I was going to die, but as soon as he spoke I felt an awesome peace. I don’t think our physical bodies can stand His presence!

One cannot be a true Believer in the Lord Jesus Christ without believing in miracles from the past. IMO you have asked the right question, "Do you believe in miracles today". I see this on an equal footing with the question the serpant asked Eve, "yea hath God said". Rev, Chuck, myself and many others believe in miracles. Why ?? because the word declared (my case) "Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today, and forever". The word said, "I am God and I change not". When the word said, "these signs shall follow them that believe", I believe the WORDS, that were spoken. God knows how to use words to convey his very thought and intentions. God means what he says, and says what he means. Who am I to question Gods ability to communicate with the correct words so we may understand. Then to insure the interpretation, God gave unto us His Spirit, to lead and guide us into all truth. Who am I to dare question Gods word?
Life is one huge miracle! God woke me up this AM, MIRACLE! God has supplied my needs for this day, MIRACLE! God has saved me from my old ways, MIRACLE! IMO there are special miracles of healing, delieverance, ect. that reach beyond the realm of all human abilities, and understanding.
When Gods spoke the words, "these signs shall follow them that believe, What does follow mean? How long shall they follow?
Yea, God hath said, and I choose to believe him! I don't want to ever question what God hath said.
