Default A thought on faith..

My wife has taken a sudden turn for the worse..of course as a Christian husband I 've been doing the best I can....

His annointing came over me about 7:00 PM last night..and I just stared at my wife ..lifting one hand up .{ My wife knows I'm hearing from God and will not interupt} I wasn't going to share on this forum but maybe what I recieved will be of some kind of encouragement to someone..

As I looked at my wife the Lord revealed to me that this problem was too big for my faith...even my best fasted faith..The sweetness of His presence was in the room..Then He gave me this verse I shall never forget..." WIth man , this is impossible BUT WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE." "so WITH GOD...we can expect a miracle."
I worshiped Him when I recieved that word and I was like a totally different guitar player...

This morning ..I awoke..to the same striving Chuck7...and I realized last night their was a difference.Fact, I posted something similiar a few long weeks ago.I had said ,"There's our fatih and then their's God's faith which is much much more.
Remember Ephesians 2: "For by faith are you saved and THAT NOT OF YOURSELVES IT'S A GIFT OF GOD."
Also,kind of like when Paul wrote ,"The Lord's power was among us to heal." THEN he told the man to be healed..{ -; I long for more of these times..

As I started my day today, I learned something very elementary yet profound..this is why Jesus and the disciples prayed..because they needed God's strengh...Our strengh is not enough..even in our VERY best spiritual effort..We need God to help us.

David knew where his help came from.." My help cometh from the Lord who made Heaven and earth."

May God Bless you and keep you Chuck. I have prayed for you and your wife. I do not know what to say. But I wish you both the strength of the Lord God Almighty and that you know that others are thinking of you and praying for you. We are all Brothers and Sisters in Christ.

Thanks man..
What I've learned ..is how fragile we really are and how dependent we must be on him..We take one day at a time.
Your encouragement is like a cold glass of water{ -;
God bless you greatly,
C7

Hey Rev,

Thanks sir,

One thing for sure.we can know ..."All thigns do work together for good to them who love God to them who are called according to his purpose." and I do mean ALL THINGS...."

God is in every little area of our lives...this is where are faith is either built or diminished.
Actaully ,obedience in the 'Little Things' opens the eyes of our understanding to help us recieve from God..

1 Cor. 2;9But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

10But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
11For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. 12Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

Thanks Shawn,

SHe had committed herself to two weeks working as a sub teacher..the kids were horrible..I told her to cancel and don't take anymore jobs..we are not hurting for money..there is no need for her to be stressed..There is a reason why doctors tell you to rest..she stayed home today..and she felt much better..

Appreciate your concern brother..She's sees her pulmonary doctor sometime this month..I'm hoping for a good report as those darn steroids are wicked.

God bless,
C7

Phase 2...

I was very sad Sat. watching my wife diminish in her health...

I remembered a teaching from a friend 2 years ago...She said, "Don't focus on your faith but rather TRUST in God."

I looked up that word trust to find out what Jesus had to say about trust..{ -; very interesting..I only found one positive statement in the gospels..

"ANd his name shall be called Jesus and the gentiles shall trust in His name."

ALmost like James instructions for the sick.."Annointing them with oil CALLING on the name of the Lord."

The Lord has reminded me ...that He is in us..therefore we can boldly proclaim

"I can do ALL THINGS through Chrsit which strenghthens me."

My wife is showing improvement...Sufferings are a normal part of the Christian life..Romans 5 says it builds endurence, character and hope to know that the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts..

He is in contro.{ -;
