Well it's time that someone says something to stir any religeous flame that may be smoldering on this site. Did we get so religious over the holidays that we don't care to talk about God anymore?
What is a world view? Everyone has one, from the most devote followers of God, to the vilest of the heathen. Some have not taken the time to think about it, but they have a world view. Our world view determines how we receive, and perceive all of our ideas, which in turn determines how we perceive God, his word, his doctrine, ect. Also it determines how we perceive science, nature, and random chance, the meaning, or meaningless of life. It determines how we live our lives, treat our fellow man, and how we treat all creation in which we come into contact.
Basically, a world view can be described as the excepted belief, or adherance to fundmental ideas of an individual, nation, or society, as relating to God, Nature, Random Chance, and the application of those ideas in the life of the individual.
One of the most popular views is that of secular humanism which basically teaches that science has proven God to be obsolute. Most allow God, but deny his Lordship in these modern times.
This is taught in most all of the institutions of higher learning today.
Another widespread view is "Marcsism". Communism is but a branch of Marxism. Marxism is atheism as it absolutly deny the existance of God. Marcism is also readily accepted in the teachings of the colledges and universities of the world.
Then there is "Christianity", which allows the existance of God, but is very flexible as to who, and what God is, and the role he plays in the lives of the christian followers. Christians may belive in One God, Two Gods, Three Gods ect. Which although is very vague in the Doctrine Of God, who he is, and what he is, but is enough to ban the teachings of Christianity in the educational system, and also activily ban "Christianity and Christian symbols" ect. from public places.
Then there is the view that I embrace, which is the Bibical world view. The "bibical" world view is denied by the Christian world view as there is no room for the church doctrine, teaching, ideas,
openions, traditions, ect. The Bible world view proclaims that the only real truth is the teaching found within the scriptires, or bible, which is veiwed as "The Word of God", and is not open for ideas that contridict the teaching found written within the Bible.
The Bible world view, is not only rejected by humanism, marxism, ect. and rejected by the institutions of higher learning, BUT is also unwelcome in the intercircle of the "Christian" world view.
After reading them all..I don't fit neither my friend.
I'm not nearly as dogmatic as I used to be..I try to listen to others with God's understanding..there are times "I become all things to all men that I might win some." However; I'm not written in stone.Some days I'm more tolerant of others than I am on other days
.."Love from a pure conscience " is still my goal..Each day I learn more and more how I really am saved by grace and how much He really is in control of me and my circumstances...much more than I realized.
